Committee Positions Available

NAWBO-OC has committee and Associate Director positions available for volunteers. If you’re interested in getting more involved in NAWBO-OC and meeting more members then this is a great opportunity for you. It’s also a great opportunity for women who are looking for leadership development. If you’re interested in potentially becoming a NAWBO-OC Board Member or even a future President of NAWBO-OC, getting involved in a committee is the first step.

We will be posting opportunities here. Please reply to the Vice President directly for a position you’re interested in. If you don’t see something you’re interested in but want to get involved, please contact our admin office for more information.


Associate Director and Committee Members of Technology

The Marketing and Technology Committee is looking for a committee member to fulfill the Associate Director and committee member roles for Technology. This person would be responsible for making and/or overseeing website updates and helping to keep content current. This person should be detail oriented, feel very comfortable working with content management systems, take initiative and be able to work well alone or on a team project. The time commitment would be about 6 hours / month plus committee meetings as needed.

Corporate Partners Relationship Managers

The Corporate Partners committee is looking for committee members to fulfill Relationship Manager roles. This individuals will be responsible for contacting current corporate partners on a monthly basis to inform them of upcoming events, see what types of benefits they’re looking for from NAWBO-OC and work with them during their annual renewal process. These individuals should be detail oriented, good communicators and friendly! The time commitment would be 1-2 hours per month plus the monthly committee meeting on the first Wednesday of the month.

Programs Committee – Associate Director of Speakers and Agendas

This role is an integral part of our monthly meeting process. Working closely with the VP of Programs, you will assist with putting together the theme and focus of each monthly networking dinner meeting. If there are speakers to coordinate, or panels to organize, that would be part of this role as well. In addition to supervising this sub-committee’s team members, you will be responsible for recruiting new members for this team as well. This role also will be in charge of putting together the agendas for the monthly events, utilizing a template. It is a highly visible position!

Remarkable Women Gala Committee – Corporate Sponsorship Liaison

The Sponsorships sub-committee of the Remarkable Women Awards committee is to support VP’s goal in sponsorships, and support the volunteer committee members with a process and communication protocol that makes soliciting community sponsorships easy and consistent. Oversee communication with potential sponsors. Train committee members on communication protocol. Committee member contacts the sponsorship prospect by phone, cites marketing goals and interest in RW (info gathered by CP) and follows up with prospect until they get a definitive “yes” or “no” on sponsorship. If the prospect agrees to a sponsorship, the committee member arranges for signature of contract and payment of sponsorship.

NAWBO-OC Photographer

In order to capture the many events and gatherings of NAWBO-OC, the organization is always in need of skilled photographers and videographers who are passionate about helping to empower women in business.  Through the artistic lens of a still or video camera, NAWBO-OC photographers enjoy being part of the energy and building a network of like-minded professionals.  For more details on the positions available, click here.
