There are nearly 1.4 million women business owners in California that employ 1.9 million workers and generate over $318.2 billion in revenues each year.
Nationwide, 9,932,434 Women-Owned Businesses (WBOs) make up 36.2% of all businesses. WOBs have grown 68% since 2007, compared with 47% for all businesses. With an increase of 35% since 2007, WOBs generated receipts totalling $1.6 trillion, whereas male-owned receipts grew only 33.8%.
- The National Association of Women Business Owners of California NAWBO-CA is a consortium of ten chapters located throughout California. NAWBO California’s purpose is to further the economic development of women business owners in California through education, public policy advocacy and financial assistance to the local California chapters.
