The Marketing Committee oversees NAWBO-OC’s marketing, branding and
communications, attends and hosts display tables at conferences, expos and
tradeshows and responsible for building the NAWBO-OC brand and generating
positive media attention for the chapter; highlighting members whenever
possible. Programs include Business and Community Development which plans
and executes social and fundraising events for NAWBO-OC’s members and the OC community to create more exposure for the organization. Committee
members love to generate exposure through marketing and branding initiatives,
enjoy working in a creative environment, have a passion for marketing, are
creative thinkers and are very comfortable with being a team player.

Helane Cohen is business professional with over twenty-five years of experience in multiple industries always highlighting her love for the creative and mentoring. Helane is currently a Sr. Marketing Manager for the United States Small Medium Business team managing the Microsoft Community Connections Program. Her main focus is to help connect local business organizations with Microsoft Partners to educate small businesses on how current technology solutions can help them operate more efficiently and empower them to grow their business. Prior to joining Microsoft Helane worked in Senior Level Positions for several companies including; Whole Foods Market, Hewlett Packard, and Adobe. In addition, Helane was the Founder and President of a successful kids cooking company Le Petit Cookery (kidsaprons.com), for over eight years where her company was featured in Entrepreneur Magazine, Anderson Cooper 360 and numerous other media outlets.
In the business community Helane is on the Board of Directors of NAWBO-OC as the Vice President of Marketing. Helane is actively involved in the Orange County community. She volunteers for Girls Inc. and other organizations including Savannah’s Organic Ranch and the Ronald McDonald House. Helane is passionate about mentoring young women and showing them the opportunities available for women in the world.
Judy Rose - Editor, NAWBO-OC Blog (Blog Mom)

Judy Rose writes original copy for marketing and promotional materials, blogs, newsletters, articles, professional bios, press releases, and more. She also offers a unique service called Writing Repair which involves polishing and adding vitality to existing text. Judy serves on NAWBO’s Marketing Committee where she is the Editor of, and a contributor to the NAWBO Blog. She is also a member of the Corporate Partners Committee and writes the Corporate Partner Spotlights. Since 2009, Judy has written the bio/tributes for our annual Remarkable Women Awards honorees.
Mary Neil - Trade Show Chair

Mary Neil’s company, Caliber Signs and Imaging, has the capability to contribute value to the image of any business or organization by increasing brand awareness through Corporate Signage, Vehicle Graphics, and Event Displays. Mary handles marketing and business development for the firm. Mary has been an active member of NAWBO-OC since 2010. In addition to being the Trade Show chair within the Marketing Committee, she also contributes to the Mentoring Program and participates in the Power Partners Program.
Donna Watson, Associate Director-Advertising
Designer Mouse Graphic Design
Donna Watson is “the mouse” of Designer Mouse Graphic Design, a creative services firm. Designer Mouse provides creative concept development and assists its clients in promoting their products and services online and in print. Specialties include brand development, event and business promotion, web design, photo editing and photo restoration.
Donna has been a proud member of NAWBO-OC since August, 2012. As everyone is encouraged to get involved, she joined the Marketing Committee and took on the “My NAWBO-OC Story” Contest promotion. Donna offers her design expertise for a variety of NAWBO-OC promotions as well as support at trade shows and other Marketing Committee efforts.
Focal Point Signs and Imaging
Cynthia is the owner operator of Focal Point Signs and Imaging centrally located near John Wayne Airport. The studio serves all of Orange County and specializes in custom wall paper, vinyl vehicle wraps, and signage for Commercial Real Estate and Property Management. Actually there isn’t a sign we can’t design and install.
Prior to opening Focal Point Signs and Imaging, Cynthia was an executive with Autotrader.com. In this capacity she mentored many women and helped establish an affinity group committed to the professional development of women in management. Her dedication to promoting diversity in the Automotive Industry was recognized by the Women’s Automotive Association International when in 2007 she was honored with the Spirit of Leadership Award.

Maricela Sandoval - OC Small Business Development Center
Maricela Sandoval is the Business Services & Programs Manager for the Orange County Small Business Development Center, assisting in the planning and execution of services that include training and one-on-one, confidential consulting for small business owners. She holds degrees from UC Irvine and Cal State Fullerton in Psychology, History, and Sociology, and is currently pursuing a professional degree in public administration. Ms. Sandoval has worked with non-profits, K-12 schools, and universities including the Sisters of St. Joseph, Santa Ana & Orange Unified School Districts, and UC Irvine, in addition to various chambers of commerce across Orange County, toward furthering public-private partnerships and community engagement.
Katalin Van Over – ProLogic IT
