Types of Membership

ESTABLISHED BUSINESS OWNER: $375* to join or reinstate; $350* annual renewal.
A business owner who exercises the power to make policy decisions and is actively involved in the day-to-day management of the firm. Voting members whose business and residence are located less than forty-five (45) miles from a NAWBO chapter headquarters must belong to a NAWBO chapter. (Voting member)

EMERGING BUSINESS OWNER: $250* to join; $225* second year renewal if still in first two years of business ownership. A first-time business owner with a new business less than two (2) years old. Members may remain at this discounted dues level for no more than two (2) years. (Non-voting member)

SUSTAINING MEMBER: $525 to join; $500* annual renewal.
A business owner who wishes to support the organization in a larger monetary way and gain additional benefits. (Voting member)

SUPPORTING MEMBER: $450 to join; $425 annual renewal.
An individual who subscribes to the objectives of NAWBO and wishes to lend support to NAWBO through membership. Members in this classification shall not constitute more than 10% of the voting membership of a chapter, and require the prior approval of the chapter. (Non-voting member)

*Membership (association) dues are nonrefundable and are billed annually on the anniversary date of acceptance.

Pursuant to the Revenue Act of 1987, we are required to advise you that your association dues are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. However, your dues may be deductible as a business expense to the same extent as permitted under law. In compliance with Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993, it is estimated that 1% of the payment is nondeductible as a business expense.  The NAWBO-OC Board of Directors is entitled to review and accept or reject all membership applications for NAWBO-OC.
