Corporate Sponsor Spotlight

In the spotlight this month: Brandman University

Successful women know that education never stops, and institutions that serve the drive to keep learning are a vital resource for women in business. One of our newest corporate partners, Brandman University, offers programs built for adult learners along with the support and flexibility to accommodate busy schedules.

Brandman is part of the Chapman University System and has been ranked in the top 14 schools in the nation for their online MBA program. More than 65% of the students, staff, and senior management are women, with about 60% of students at the Irvine campus attending classes in the School of Business.

Those who attended the 2012 Remarkable Women Awards saw two of our members receive Brandman scholarships for the Spring 2013 MBA program equivalent to $300/credit. This generous gift marks the beginning. For the Summer and Fall 2013 sessions, BU will offer NAWBO-OC members scholarships of $75/credit (undergrad) and $90/credit (graduate) off tuition costs when enrolled in a degree program. Expect to meet representatives of the university at monthly dinner meetings where you’ll have an opportunity to hear more about their degree programs as well as the Extended Education division which offers non-degree training and certificate programs.

Rick Boone, Manager of Community Relations for the Irvine Campus, sums it up this way, “Brandman University is excited to partner with NAWBO-OC to help support our local community and offer opportunities to our women business leaders. With the entrepreneurship of NAWBO members and the adult-focused learning model of Brandman, this partnership promises to be a mutually beneficial one.”

We at NAWBO-OC thank Brandman University and proudly welcome them as part of our team.
