Calling all Remarkable Women!


Get involved and help recognize the Remarkable Women of Orange County!

Getting involved is the best way to gain the most out of your NAWBO membership. You will build relationships with other members as well as community, business, and/or political leaders which will provide you visibility and business opportunities.

Please check below which committee interests you. Committee work can take from minutes to several hours a month; you choose the time commitment that works for you.

Our first committee meeting will be held on February 23rd, from 11am-1:30pm at Farmers and Merchants Bank, 24300 Paseo de Valencia, Laguna Hills (near Laguna Hills Mall). All meetings after that will be on the third Thursday of each month from 11:00-1:30 at the same location. Not every meeting needs to be attended by all committee members, but all are welcome.

The private Remarkable Women Honoree Reception will held in September (date to be determined) and the Remarkable Women Awards Luncheon will be held on Friday, October 19, 2007.

WE STILL NEED A CHAIRPERSON FOR EACH THE FOLLOWING RWA COMMITTEES!

  • Advertising (selling ad space for the Program Guide)
  • Marketing (drafting copy and assisting in the overview of each of the marketing pieces that we mail or fax to our target audiences)
  • Participating Organizations (invite and gather honorees and assist in acquiring their materials)
  • Printing (Sponsor brochure, Invitations, "the day of" program, and handle the print quotes and facilitation)
  • Public Policy & Certificates of Congrats (contact legislative offices for letters of congrats to honorees and invite and greeting the Legislators at the event)
  • Public Relations (advertising, branding, media relations)
  • Sponsorship (procure sponsorship dollars for the event)
  • Table Gifts (contact contributors, and advertisers for possible table favors)
