Eligibility for Payment of F&M’s Community Giving Program

  • This offer is valid at any Farmers & Merchants Bank office. Please take this letter with you or mention it at account opening.
  • The monetary gift is based on the opening of a new account. An account opened — as result of a direct referral to a friend — also qualifies for the offer. (They will need to mention the organization at time of opening.)
  • The account must be open and active for at least 90 days prior to the end of each calendar quarter to qualify for the payment made by Farmers and Merchants Bank. Additional relationship accounts (Savings, Money Market, Certificate of Deposit, or other business checking accounts) opened after the initial deposit account will be eligible for a gift payment one quarter following the opening of the original account. Joint accounts will be treated as one individual for gift purposes.
  • Bank regulations or state laws make certain types of accounts and businesses ineligible for this offer. These accounts and businesses include: retirement accounts, escrow companies; mortgage brokers; mortgage bankers; real estate agents; real estate developers; title companies; and real estate appraisers.
  • F&M Bank deposit accounts require a minimum opening deposit of $100. Certificates of Deposit require a minimum deposit of $1,000 and may have a penalty for early withdrawal.
